Check into the financial stability of extended warranty companies you are considering purchasing from. You can do this by checking their A.M. rating and the Better Business Bureau to see if there are any bad commentaries made about the company.

Most states now have strong regulations with regards to licensing of these extended warranty companies. So be careful, but not too paranoid!
